Description
Hard Builder Gel is an ideal choice for achieving length, thickness, or strength in nails. It can be applied directly to natural nails for a durable, non-chip overlay or used in conjunction with nail tips or forms to create extensions and enhancements. This gel is significantly stronger than standard gel base coats, featuring a considerably thicker formula. Its exceptional self-leveling properties facilitate the creation of a smooth foundation layer. The removal process for Builder Gel typically involves either filing or soaking, which requires more time and effort compared to regular gel polish. Additionally, it is essential to utilize the appropriate LED or UV nail lamp for the correct duration to ensure optimal results.
*Step 1: Prepare the Nails Begin by cleaning, filing, and buffing the nails. Gently push back and trim the cuticles. Use a lint-free pad and nail cleanser to wipe each nail.
*Step 2: Apply a Base Coat If your builder gel requires a base coat or primer, apply it now and cure it under your nail lamp as necessary. If a primer is not required, you may proceed to the next step.
*Step 3: Apply the Builder Gel, for bottled builder gel, simply paint it onto the nails. If using a gel pot, utilize a nail brush to scoop a small amount. Avoid contact with the cuticles and ensure that the free edge is adequately covered. Allow the builder gel to self-level for a few seconds for an even application.
*Step 4: Cure Under LED/UV Lamp Cure the builder gel under an LED or UV lamp for approximately 60 seconds, depending on the specific type of lamp being used.
*Step 5: Apply a Second Coat, if necessary, apply a second coat of builder gel and cure it again under the lamp.
*Step 6: Clean the Nail Use a lint-free wipe soaked in isopropyl alcohol to remove any tackiness from the surface of the nail.
*Step 7: File the Nail Refine the nail to achieve your client’s desired shape, ensuring to even out any areas that may be overly thick.
*Step 8: Apply Color or Topcoat Wipe the nail clean once more and apply a topcoat. If your client requests a different color, apply the gel polish first, followed by curing it under the lamp.
*Step 9: Finishing Touches Once all gel applications are complete and properly cured, your manicure is finished! Apply a touch of cuticle oil and provide the client with any aftercare advice before they depart.

SavannahI absolutely love this hard gel. The viscosity is perfect - thick enough that I can comfortably build a strong, clean apex on all five fingers without it running or over-self-leveling, but it still self-levels just enough to keep the filing process quick and minimal. It gives me full control during application without fighting the product. The color is another huge win. It’s the perfect natural base shade - soft, flattering, and incredibly forgiving. I use this as my go-to base for all of my French tip designs because it looks so natural on the nail while beautifully blurring and hiding natural nail imperfections. It creates that smooth, polished canvas that makes every set look elevated and clean. Overall, this gel delivers the best of both worlds: structure, control, and ease of finish. It’s become a staple in my kit and a product I reach for constantly. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a reliable hard gel that performs beautifully from application to final file.Leave a Review
